CLASS DESCRIPTION: How must a drawing be constructed, both formally and narratively, to function inside of a game? This course, intended for image-makers, concentrates on the assets and aesthetics of game design. Students engage with character development, 8-bit graphics, user interface, simple animations, and background design. Beginning with foundational questions of how and why we play games, students create their own images, built upon exploratory research into existing games and frameworks.
