CLASS DESCRIPTION: The drawing and design concepts covered in this course relate through drawing from observation, lecture, discussion, and exposure to historical and contemporary works of art. We investigate media, line, value, shape, perspective, and composition. By the end of the course, each student possesses the ability to accurately represent three-dimensional form and space on a two-dimensional surface, have an expanded awareness and understanding of materials and process, and are able to evaluate their own work and the work of their peers.
