Cydney is an award-winning illustrator and comic artist based in Kansas City, Missouri.
She has worked on projects with Barkley, XYZ Type Foundry, Riverfont Times, FRWRD Running Program, Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis, Kansas City Magazine, University of Central Missouri Art & Design, Bengelina Hospitality Group, C3 Brand Marketing & Design Agency, and more.
Cydney spends most of her time drawing alongside her graphic designer husband Noah Kinney, their spotted pitbull Dottie, and their cats Cricket and Wally in a small studio filled to the brim with screen prints, houseplants, a growing collection of graphic novels, and loose wood chips from whittling (her newest hobby).
Cydney creates zines, prints, and various products for tabling events throughout the year such as St. Louis Independent Comics Expo (SLICE), Paper Plains Zine Fest, Chicago Alternative Comics Expo (CAKE), Kansas City Zinecon, the ICON Roadshow, and Print Bazaar on Cherokee. She has also exhibited work at galleries such as the UCM Art & Design Gallery, KCAI Illustration Department HUB Space, UMSL Fine Arts Building Gallery, Studios Inc, Des Lee Gallery, High Low Gallery, Kansas City Artist & Craftsman Gallery, and the Kansas City Artist Coalition.
She received her MFA in Illustration & Visual Culture from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts at Washington University in St. Louis and received her BFA in Illustration from the University of Central Missouri.
